Race Report: Snowball Crit #2

After a match-burning CRC ride yesterday, I headed down to Virginia Beach this Sunday to race the C Field in Snowball Crit #2. This was my first criterium. They say the best way to learn is by experience. And when it comes to cornering, this was very true for me today. After about 10 warm-up laps on a very fast course, I finally figured out the transition of weight to the outer leg! Anyhow, I was pretty anxious from the start, putting out the message I was looking for a break. By lap 6 we had our break, and the 5 of us sustained it to the finish! Outsprinted after letting the last lap go tooooo slow, I slotted the 5-spot.
