My first Cat5 race went pretty smoothly! The soft pace on the first 18-mile lap became a bit frustrating, so I spent some time at the front during the second lap, applying some pressure on the hills. My big lesson from this race was to know the finish line inside and out. No one in the sprint used up the whole road as we were allowed. I never got a chance to spring from the back. All in all, a top ten finish in the nine slot. Thanks to all for the great coaching and riding!!! I’m looking forward to more racing!!!
