Women's MTB Clinic a HUGE SUCCESS

Almost 30 women came out on Saturday to enjoy the sunshine and pick up a few tips from three local racers. Johanna Kraus, Michele Co and Christy Tankersly spent some quality time at Walnut Creek with various obstacles and drills to instruct and fine tune skills that relate to all aspects of mountain biking.

The clinic was geared towards all skill levels. The day started out with low speed drills focusing on balance, body positioning, shifting, braking, climbing and descending. From there the ladies moved to various sections of trail and controlled obstacles to fine tune the techniques needed to clear logs, rocks and roots effectively and confidently. We even had a couple of talks about proper bike fit and bike maintenance. All in all I would say it was a very successful day.
