chicago crit & superweek

I had a mtg in Milwaukee last thurs so I did a couple of the superweek races and finished up racing with (behind) Chris Horner and Fred Rodriguez in a ProAm in downtown Chicago . The superweek races were really fast with around 100 riders in each field . I was in the money ….not quite enough to pay for gas .
Sunday I did the masters 30 plus race that had several pros in the field finishing around 10th then did the ProAm . It was awesome….....Ben was in the initial break with several of the big boys and I was tacked on the back with 125 other riders . 45 miles in it was obvious that the break was gone so I decided to bail out and watch from the sidelines as Ben stayed away with about 8 laps to go . 19 guys were up the road and it only paid 30 and I didn’t figure these old bones could get to the front at and average speed of 30 plus . Good weekend ….....
