ID3 race report - Jake and Mark

Wow , that was fun . Stayed at Grandma Kings @ Smith Mountain Lake with the fam . Ben , Dan ,Jake and I raced in Roanoke . I raced 30 plus , 40 plus and 123 Friday getting 5th , 4th and 16th . Jake did the Jr race and won his age group .
Saturday Jake won the 18 and under cat up Mill Mountain and I think I ended up 3rd in the masters field, 2 plus minutes behind Ben who was second overall behind his teammate Nick Waite.
Sunday did the 30 , 40 and 123 . Got 2nd , 3rd(Scanlon and Eric rode really well with Bill and I in the three man break w Roger) and 12th . Jake rolled away from the entire Jr field and finished 1st .
Jake is excited to race again and all I want to do is take a nap .

47 Year old cat 2 with 4 great kids and a very understanding wife , I’m still trying to keep up with my 18 year old (not doing it very well anymore)and waiting for my 12 yr old to start dropping me on climbs .

Race Results

2005 Bar winner , Lots of top 5’s in 06 and 07 in cat 2 and masters races .
Favorite results were lapping the field in a cat 2 race with Ben (he did most of the work) and getting 10th in the Tour of Bahamas Road Race last year as well as leading out my faster little brother(Dan) .
