2008 Virginia Cyclocross Series Final (Darden Towe) December 6th
PLT TT #1 Race Report- a very hot day in the saddle
Hey all,
Nothing like 95+ degree temperatures and very high humidity (and a three hour drive each way) to get you pumped for a TT. 23 mile TT (a mile short of the magic 40k standard).
Good talented turn out overall- as this is one of the bellwether TT’s (along with the Stony Point State Senior TT Championship).
Had a good run overall, the temps were very tough but my wattage and speed numbers were good. I passed 5 riders, and nobody passed me. Always a good sign. Everyone who finished had beet-red faces from the heat. I swapped out my fancy aero bottle for a regular full size one, and drank it all. No official results yet, but I think I did well.
Numbers from my SRM/Cyclingpeaks file (may be a bit off on the stop/start) for those interested:

Looks like I scored 4th
Looks like I scored 4th place. Sweet. Higher cadence paid off.
