Charlottesville Racing Club (CRC) is a locally based club that supports bicycle racing and the bicycle community in and around Charlottesville, VA. The primary goal of the Club shall be the preservation, development and promotion of the sport of bicycling.

I did the “CRC 30” as
I did the “CRC 30” as its being referred to in the cycling community last night with the 5:30 Wednesday group. As some of us are aware there have always been some issues with some small dogs chasing you on Simons Gap a couple of miles before the Marwood Road left turn. Well, last night was no exception but this time it resulted in some of the riders going down hard and one of the dogs went to doggie heaven…so those of you who are doing the 30 tonight be careful and watch out for dogs and unhappy dog owners…

Did the redneck owners threaten you guys? If they did, or someone got hurt it’s probably time to involve the police.
They know their dogs chase riders and runners but either don’t care or think it’s funny. There was a big blow up with the owners last time this happened, which is why I ride with a cell phone now.

Bill (sorry can’t remember his last name) and several others. Mark (the UVA doctor) and I were actually up ahead a bit when it happened and turned back to help. No serious injuries just some road rash but still… Juan was talking with the owners at one point and seemed to have it under control but I am just wondering how it will be the next time we come through there.
