Kelly Cup Race Report

Jake and I made the trip to Baltimore yesterday to do the Kelly Cup . Jake did the Jr race with the 18 year olds . Needless to say it was an adventure – he ended up with a group of younger riders ending up winning the sprint for we’re not quite sure what place . It was good to see so many youngsters up there .
I did the 30 plus masters race . Speaking of …...how can someone who is actually 29(racing age 30) be considered a “master” . That should be reserved for us old fellas . Anyway , it was a big field 100 plus with around 40 or so finishing , I ended up getting 9th after being in some fruitless breaks early on and then missing the one that counted . Oh well …good workout and got enough prize money to gas up for the trip home (barely) . The pro race was was a thrill to watch as Kelly Team took a great win .
