State Senior TT Race Report
Submitted by Fletcher.Eric on Sun, 06/22/2008 - 16:57.Today was the State Senior Time Trial, Rather hot but not nearly as bad as two weeks ago. Course had a headwind out, slight rise out, making for fast return trips.
I went into this a little overcooked from the race last Sunday and a hard week of riding, so I felt good, but not great by any means. I tried to go hard from the start, but for the first third I caught my watts dropping in a few spots costing me some time, which was annoying.
On the outbound trip I caught three riders, nobody caught me. On the return trip I got about 4 more, and again no one caught me.
Langley Speedway Race Report: What Would Stijn Do? (long)
Submitted by Fletcher.Eric on Mon, 06/16/2008 - 12:38.He would attack!
As the alarm went off at 4AM on Sunday, my first trickle of concern started over the track race I was facing. My first one ever, combined with my first fixie ride ever. Driving down, I hit rain outside of Richmond- great my first fixie ride ever— in the rain.

Get your crit on, plus laugh at me racing a track bike!
Submitted by Fletcher.Eric on Wed, 06/11/2008 - 10:59.About the safest possible crit is being held this weekend in Hampton.

A crit race on a stock car oval, there are wide gentle turns and tons of room for everyone. The track is bigger then Richmond’s too.
As a bonus, I will be doing my first track race (and likely my first fixie ride ever, so mad props to John Neil for setting me on the path of track racin’) before the crits start. Come laugh at me when I forget to keep pedaling!
Only downside is a bit of a drive, but the Fat Frogs put on a good race.
Ride is on tonight- bring plenty of water
Submitted by Fletcher.Eric on Tue, 06/10/2008 - 15:11.or arm warmers.
PLT TT #1 Race Report- a very hot day in the saddle
Submitted by Fletcher.Eric on Sun, 06/08/2008 - 17:13.Hey all,
Nothing like 95+ degree temperatures and very high humidity (and a three hour drive each way) to get you pumped for a TT. 23 mile TT (a mile short of the magic 40k standard).
Good talented turn out overall- as this is one of the bellwether TT’s (along with the Stony Point State Senior TT Championship).
After two rain outs, come ride your road bike tonight!
Submitted by Fletcher.Eric on Thu, 06/05/2008 - 09:29.Thursday’s pace is always a little more sane, and most often we do the 20 mile route, although 30 is an option if that’s the consensus.
Don’t make me come to your house and get you. . .
What would Stijn Devolder do?
Submitted by Fletcher.Eric on Tue, 06/03/2008 - 10:03.He would attack!
Come out and ride tonight- A ride goes 30, B ride goes 20.
See you in Earlysville 6pm for some road goodness.
Next Wooden Bridges TT is Wednesday June 18th
Submitted by Fletcher.Eric on Fri, 05/30/2008 - 08:50.Start times will be from 6 till 6:30 again. This date was chosen
as it is the Wednesday before the State Senior TT championship and will
give people a chance to check their gear and position before the race
under the proper conditions.
I will send out more reminders as we get closer.
Thanks,
Eric
