As a CRC Sponsored Rider, I figured it appropriate to comment on my weekend of wrenching for the MS150 Tour. It was a response to a friendly email from Eric, but here it is.

The Tuesday ride (tomorrow) is going to be huge. Bring a friend for the 20. Bring a friend for the 30. I’ll be wearing my primal wear jersey – the one with the huge lizard on the back. Thanks Eric.

Had a good ride on Sunday down at William and Mary’s collegiate road race. My goal was to avoid getting dropped by the A field for the 65 mile event. Adam Winck, Stephen DeLisle and myself felt pretty spunky. We tried to get a group off in the final lap but it just didn’t work out. I had cramps for about three laps (thanks to the Saturday ride) so I counted myself out on the final climb, despite the fact that I had good speed on it during the previous laps. I ended up making the hill pretty well and finshed at 10th.

Great weather for an afternoon ride on the road today and I hope others made it out as well. It was a great day to sport a CRC kit with bare knees. I took the trusty Surly, complete with fenders. I also had great company with three companions from the UVA squad.

The Batesville store did not disappoint. While my friends had the standard “brownie,” I opted for the M&M brownie. It was a close call between that and the the chocolate chip coffeecake, so I’ll have to return soon to try the other. Hopefully the cream-cheese iced brownie comes back soon.
