Blue Ridge Cyclocross Cup = fun
Submitted by Gallagher.Sean on Wed, 09/30/2009 - 11:49. Tags:It’s been a while since I lined up for a race but I’m glad I made the trip over the mountain last night. I missed the first BRCC race in C-Ville two weeks ago and wanted to represent on foreign soil. The venue was great although the course was a bit hard to find at times. I loved the community/grassroots vibe and thought it was well organized considering there was no formal promoter. The guy who seemed to be in charge was very good at keeping the process on track and orderly.

Report from the Ridge
Submitted by Gallagher.Sean on Mon, 03/31/2008 - 14:21. Tags:“What a beautiful day to race a bike.” I doubt anyone said that yesterday at the Jeff Cup. More power to those who suited up and went to work in such dismal conditions. What a difference 24 hours makes cause the day before was just about perfect.
2nd Annual Chimney Chase
Submitted by Gallagher.Sean on Fri, 03/28/2008 - 12:41.CRC will once again bring mountain bike racing to Walnut Creek. This year’s event, the 2nd Annual Chimney Chase will be on Sunday May 11th. We’ll be running the same course from last year due to all the great feedback we received. CAMBC, the Charlottesville Area Mountain Bike Club has been hard at work maintaining and sprucing up the trails over the winter to ensure that Walnut Creek Park remains one of the best mountain bike trail systems in Virginia.

I'm building a ride map database
Submitted by Gallagher.Sean on Mon, 01/14/2008 - 13:16. Tags:Hi all,
I’m going to start creating some maps and profiles to go with the cue sheets on cvillebike.com. The goal is to create a list of rides to reference and pick from.
If you have any routes you’d like me to map and profile just send me the cue sheet.
Cheers,

Movie Week continues with new Paris-Robaix documentary
Submitted by Gallagher.Sean on Sun, 01/13/2008 - 21:56.Some of you may have seen this already but if not here goes:
There is a new film about Paris-Roubaix and one of the film makers lives in Orange. It’s been shot by some really stellar photographers and the preview looks great. The directors will be on hand for Q&A as well.
This would be a great compliment to the CRC movie night even though you’d have to pay for it. It looks like they filmed it last year as Big George is sport’n the Stars and Strips. Poor George. Maybe he’ll actually pull it off this year. As much as I’d love for him to do it I don’t think I’ll be put’n any money down.
Dirt Ride tomorrow 10:00am Stony Point Elementary
Submitted by Gallagher.Sean on Sat, 01/05/2008 - 23:48. Tags:Hi all,
Couldn’t make the shop ride today so I’m heading out for a moderate gravel/road ride tomorrow morning if anyone’s interested. I think it’s around 25 miles might be more can’t be sure. Ride time was about 1:30.
Stony Point Elementary is on Rt. 20 about 10 miles north of Rt. 250. The ride basically climbs up and over the Southwest mountains twice in a nice loops. Quite roads made for cross bikes.
Drop me a line at seang at virginia.edu or call my mobile if you’re on your way and it’s just past 10:00.
